Generating energy from low speed and low force movements
Enerbee’s rotary micro-generator is a unique combination of magnetic and piezoelectric materials. The piezoelectric material allows the device to generate energy at any motion speeds, while the magnetic material permits the generator to be actuated from low force movements.
This makes Enerbee’s technology extremely efficient at generating energy from low speed or low force movements, where no other technology works.
Enerbee’s multi-patented piezomagnetic technology generates an energy peak every 90° of rotation on the micro-generator.
Energy peaks are converted to useable energy via a high-efficiency patented power management electronics, delivering energy in the 100µW to 10mW range. Energy can be directly used to power, for example, a vibration sensor and short-range radio, like required in condition monitoring applications (see Industry 4.0). Some applications require larger amount of energy, like CO2 measurement for HVAC applications or long-range communication in Smart Meters. In this case, energy can be stored in a supercapacitor and managed using Enerbee’s ultra-low leakage power management.
